Hello! I'm Liz Sherman, owner of Herb and Oak Garden Designs. After 20 years of gaining experience working with other garden-related companies as well as doing part-time design and install for personal clients, I launched Herb and Oak officially in 2023. I've been passionate about growing plants and spending time in the natural world since I was child helping my mother propagate native plants for her wholesale nursery. Over the course of the past twenty years, I've worked in garden retail, greenhouse growing, garden education, sustainable garden design/installation and maintenance.  My garden career began as a retail manager with the Garden Gate in Gulf Breeze, FL, educating customers, caring for plants and creating and installing garden designs.  I've gained local experience as a Maintenance Manager at Alex Smith Garden Designs and Caretaking Manager for Shades of Green Permaculture Design in addition to providing design, installation and maintenance for my personal clients. Liz is certified in Permaculture Design.
